Michael J.T. Fisher

On February 6, 1998, God, in His infinite wisdom looked down from His throne and decided it was time for Rev. Michael J. Fisher – son of Dr. and Mrs. W. Jerome Fisher to step into his destiny as one of God’s anointed ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At eighteen years of age, this young man accepted God’s call to the Gospel Ministry.
Pastor Fisher’s prayer is for the power of God to help us attain the mission that is set before us so many lives might be saved.
Voices of Destiny

It all began with a vision. Dr. Michael J. T. Fisher, only 26 years old at the time, envisioned having a young adult choir that would not only minister through song but, they would be beacons of light and hope throughout the sometimes dark City of Compton. In June 2005, that vision came to fruition and there was birthed the “Voices of Destiny” (VOD). The group comprised on young adults ages 18 – 30 grew quickly! Within six months VOD had more than 60 dedicated members. All from various walks of life, financial and geographical status, but all with a common goal and that was to live their lives for Christ and to encourage and help others. With these goals it wasn’t long before VOD took to the streets, extending their hand in the community.
On October 11, 2010, VOD entered the “Verizon Wireless How Sweet the Sound Competition” at Staples Center in Los Angeles and they, themselves were shocked when they swept the competition in all three categories “Best Large Choir, The People’s Choice and Overall Regional”! This victory landed VOD a spot to compete in the national competition in Washington, DC with the possibility of winning the Best Choir in America! And on November 13, 2010 that possibility became a reality. VOD dazzled the judges with an unprecedented, electrifying performance to a remix of Bryon Cage’s “The Presence of the Lord”. Now crowned National winners of the Verizon Wireless “How Sweet the Sound” contest, VOD’s calendar has just gotten busier than ever!
