Goapele | Break of Dawn
She will undoubtedly surprise many who think they know what to expect from a Goapele release. This time around she’s crowning the soulful heartbreak and rumbling soliloquies of her previous albums with epic synths, old school feel good and a bolder voice.
Break of Dawn doesn’t linger on R&B’s lackluster clichés, it hypes you up, kicks you in the stomach, drives you to tears, and then reels you back in on a sunny Sunday morning. This album is poised to take her to an even higher level. The difference is that Break of Dawn is stepping out a bit. It’s less guarded, it’s sexy and it’s stadium-worthy.

The Honorary Racism
We live in a society where prejudice is usually pointed towards the color of your skin or sexual orientation, but there is a quiet discrimination that recieves little to no attention in comparison....BEING FAT. There are many conclusions drawn about people who are obese, but because weight can be controlled, many feel it is the bearer of the extra pounds that are at fault (and sometimes deserve the treatment they receive). This evening, we want to discuss some of the pre-conceived notions we have about overweight people. We want to discuss the caricatures and ideas we've concluded when we see how they are displayed in the media. Let's address the truth behind how it feels to be discriminated against because of your size. We want to hear your honest opinions, tonight, on "Live in the Vocal Booth".
