In today’s world Mothers have to compete against a culture over run with sex, drugs, violence. A culture of instant gratification that glorifies “I Want It Right Now” but I don’t want to have to work for it. Images from video games, music videos, movies with “PG” ratings that would have garnered an “R” when we were their age, animated TV Shows said to be for mature audiences but yet are still marketed to children and this new age of user created videos all over the free world wide web leave are bombard our children with visual messages that are high on glamorized wow factors all-while extremely low on morals and consequence.

If filtering all of the negative imagery coming from the media wasn’t enough to keep a Mother busy, the allure of the streets is ever present; peer pressure and the attraction of gangs are constantly competing to have greater influence in our children’s lives.

Sometimes the challenges seem so great, as a mother what can you do to maintain your influence in your child life.

What if your child does take the wrong path, as a Mother what are the specific things you can do to block that dead end road they heading?
